A Velichie (jelentése bolgár nyelven: dicsőség) a bulgáriai Történelmi Park hagyományőrző csapata. A Park Várnától nem messze, Neofit Rilski településen található. A tagok a bolgár törzsek és állam 7-10. századi hadi kultúráját jelenítik meg. Az egyesület a korszák bolgárjainak hadviselését, viseletét, művészetét és kultúráját eleleveníti fel. A csapat törekszik a korszak számos fegyvernemét és hadi taktikáját tanulmányozni és elsajátítani. Ezek a gyalogos és lovasíjászat, solymászat, közelharc. Továbbá foglalkoznak hangszerekhez kapcsolódó kísérteti régészeti tevékenységgel, valamint rekonstrukciós festmények és rajzok készítésével is. Egyben ők az a szakértői gárda is, akik szorosan együttműküdnek a Történelmi Parkkal, hogy annak nagyszabású beruházásai korhű módon reprezentálják a szlávok, bolgárok és az Első és Második Bolgár Birodalom anyagi kultúráját.

The Association Velichie (means “glory” in Bulgarian) of the Historical Park, based in the village of Neofit Rilski, near Varna (Bulgaria) presents the martial traditions of the Bulgar tribes and their subsequent empires from the end of the 7th century AD to the 10th century. The association attempts to bring back to life the fighting, clothing, artistic and cultural tradition of the ancient Bulgars from their settlement in the Lower Danube region until the “Golden age” period. The team focuses on studying the various weapons and the techniques of the period, archery on foot and on horseback, falconry, hand-to-hand combat, clothing reconstruction, musical experimental archeology and even contemporary painting and drawing of historical scenes of that specific period. They are the consultants and reenactors for the areas of the Slavs, Bulgars, First and Second Bulgarian Empire in the Historical Park, an open-air cultural project presenting the culture of the civilizations that inhabited the Bulgarian lands.
